Well then, first of all, welcome! My name is Second Best, and I created Societas Magic. In this basic guide type thingy I'll be telling you a bit about the site.

In a nutshell Societas Magic is a mythical creatures role-play site. Translated, Societas Magic means 'League of Magic' in Latin. There are almost no limits to Societas Magic, although you can only role-play creatures listed here. We're considering adding a custom creature feature in the future, but for now you'll just have to make do. . . . We have lots of species to role-play from anyway!
We have no official groups in the role-play except for the realms, but members can set up mini clans and things like that. Others members can join groups like this, or challenge them, or set up their own.
You'll notice we have a playlist - it's set on shuffle, so a new song starts every time. You can shut it off if you don't like it or have other music playing. =)

Members with no special ranks are colored green, while staff members have other colors. See the legend at the bottom of our home page to know which color means which rank, or check out which groups you're in and what groups there are here.
At the bottom of the page, you will see a chat-box. This is a live chat where members can communicate. Be warned, though - you could get banned from it (but don't worry, we aren't very strict)! The chat-box is easily accessible even when you are posting a message, browsing the forums, or reading a message, so chatting is much easier!
If you have any questions, please check our FAQ before asking. Your question might be answered there! If it isn't, it might help searching before asking. If you still can't find an answer, we'd love to help!

Societas Magic can be a bit tricky to navigate at first, but don't worry, you'll get used to it! Our staff is very friendly and eager to help, so don't be afraid to ask!
